Revisiting Genesis is a short series by artist and Goldsmiths lecturer Oreet Ashery. It follows two nurses, both named Jackie, who create biographical slideshows for patients as a tool for reflection on posthumous digital legacies, withdrawal, friendships, cultural and social loss, and memory as identity. By 2020 it is predicted that social media platforms will hold more deceased accounts than those who are still belonging to the realm of the living. How will this shape the way we approach death and communication with the afterlife. Revisiting Genesis, takes the form of a web-series in twelve episodes and screened as part of Live Art Development Agency - LADA - who specialise in Live Art across performance, publications and opportunities.
